Colour Calendar for SharePoint (FREE)

So one of those things I often get asked is whether it’s possible to colour code a SharePoint calendar. The way I normally go about this is by using the wonderful planetwilson codeplex solution located here: http://www.codeplex.com/planetwilson

I have used it now in 5 instances and each time it solves the immediate need. The fact that it is on codeplex and also offers the source code is wonderful for anyone out there looking to expand upon it or figure out other applications for the work.

But in short, yes, I just use another codeplex solution (not ISV solutions) when it comes to colour coding for SharePoint calendars. I mean it’s free, I can see and expand on the code, and it does pretty much everything you could need it to do. What more could you ask for?

Hope this helps someone,
Richard Harbridge
